Tekken Tag Tournament 2 Review
The latest installment in the Tekken series, Tekken Tag Tournament 2, brings a fresh twist to the classic fighting formula. As rounds end when one character is knocked out (KO'd), switching your characters must be done quickly and efficiently. The game's move set returns with its classic flair, but this iteration represents one of the most different approaches to the series yet - introducing two characters to send into battle instead of just one.
The action in Tekken Tag Tournament 2 is as fast-paced and tight as ever, making it a thrilling ride from start to finish. This full version of the original PS2 game comes with its entire roster of fighters (all unlocked from the beginning), the full movie/music gallery, and the addictive Tekken Bowl mini-game.
The second part of Tekken Hybrid, the HD version of Tekken Tag Tournament 2, offers a visually stunning experience that showcases the game's beautiful graphics. The film component, Tekken: Blood Vengeance, also benefits from 3D, making it a preferred way to watch if you have the means to do so.
Unfortunately, the film's story isn't exactly great - as expected - and there are some really dull periods and pacing issues throughout. However, the fight scenes are certainly cool and add an extra layer of excitement to the experience.
It's worth noting that the game components require a significant amount of storage space, with each game taking up around 1 gigabyte of hard drive space. Additionally, in order to play either of the games, you'll need to first install them to your hard drive in full.
Overall, Tekken Tag Tournament 2 offers an engaging and challenging gaming experience that's sure to please fans of the series. With its unique tag-team gameplay mechanics and impressive visuals, it's a must-play for anyone looking for a fun and action-packed fighting game.
